Goals and responsibilities of the Child Support Division:
- Expedite the collection of child support payments from noncustodial parents to custodial parents.
- Monitor child support payments for courts, custodial parents, noncustodial parents, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Establish paternity.
- Enforce child support orders for the state and the courts.
If you need legal help to obtain a court order for the non-custodial parent to pay child support or help in collecting the payments due on an existing child support order, caseworkers at the child support division can help you at no cost to you.
County attorney office caseworkers are trained in how to prepare legal documents to schedule your case for court, and an attorney will appear in court for all child support hearings.
We want to help you collect the child support payments due to your child. To obtain an application for requesting the services of the child support division call (606)337-3113 or print an application by visiting http://cfc.state.ky.us/DCSPOLICIES/docs/CS-33%20REVISED.doc.
If you presently have a child support case with the Bell County Attorney's Office, you can check the payment status by calling the collection center at 1-800-443-1576. To access the state's Division of Child Support website, go to http://cfc.state.ky.us/agencies/Common_Base/Child_Support/index.asp
